This trip will enable you to discover Namibia highlights from the Namib desert to Etosha National Park, travelling through the Damaraland and the Waterberg. In these arid regions, one can find fauna and flora species who have adapted themselves to a fragile and austere environment. Starting from Windhoek, you will explore the Namib Naukluft Park before heading to Swakopmund. You will then continue further north to enter Etosha National Park and then the Waterberg. You will have the opportunity to spot the desert elephants and rhinos, and to meet some charismatic people of this country such as the Damaras and the Himbas as well as enjoy many other exciting adventures!

Day by Day...

Day 1: Windhoek…

Arrival at Windhoek airport where you collected your car rental. You spend the night at Vondelhof guesthouse located 5 kms from downtown Windhoek.

Days 2-3: Namib desert…

Today you leave towards the southwest in direction of Sesriem where you spend 2 nights in Desert Homestead lodge. Possible optional activities include: horse riding, guided walks, ballooning or excursions to Sossusvlei and Naukluft.

Days 4-5: Swakopmund…

We leave for Swakopmund passing through the canyons of Ghauband Kuiseb which constitute geological phenomena dating back millions of years. You spend the night at Sam’s Giardino, a guesthouse located approximately 1 km of Walvis Bay and offering the best of Southern Africa in terms of cuisine and wine.

Day 6: Spitzkoppe…

This morning you make your way in direction to Spitzkoppe, a colored place that looks like an island on a mountain located 50 kms from Usakos. In terms of activities you will have the opportunity to do some tours at dusk, rock paintings, or guided walks in the forest. You spent the night at Hohenstein Lodge located 25 kms north of Usakos at the end of Spitzkoppe mountains.

Days 7-8: Damaraland…

Departure for Damaraland which extends 200 kms from the coast skeleton and 600 kms southwards Kaokoland. Once in Damaraland you could hunt black rhinos and legendary elephants of the desert. You could also meet the Himbas and the Damaras which constitute the two charismatic ethnic group of Namibia. You spent the night at Grootberg lodge, a landmark in Namibia for the tourism industry as it is the first middle-market establishment in the country that is 100% owned by the conservancy.

Days 9-10: Etosha National Park - Okaukuejo…

After breakfast you depart for Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is the largest park in the country where one could see the ‘’big 5 ‘’. You spend your 2 first nights in Okaukuejo Camp.

Day 11: Etosha National Park - Halali…

Departure for Halali located in the middle of Etosha National Park.

Days 12-13: Waterberg…

This morning you leave Etosha National Park and make your way to the Waterberg. This region is the place where the most important historic events of Namibia occurred. In terms of activities you could do some hiking on the Waterberg plateau and visit the world center of cheetahs' conservation. It is actually in this region that the largest world population of big cats can be found.

Day 14: Windhoek…

Today you take the southern route to Windhoek where you leave your car at the airport. End of the trip!
